Seniors Helping Seniors, LLCCherokee County, GA

If you are the one worrying, this part is for you

Most of the people who call us are not the person who needs help. They are the daughter juggling a job and a drive across town, the husband doing his best and running out of steam, the son three states away who calls every night.

The things families say to us on the first call

“I call every night, and I can hear that things are slipping.”

You are not imagining it, and it is not your fault for living far away. A standing weekly visit gives you real eyes on the house and a person who tells you what they actually see.

“I am the one doing everything, and I am running out of steam.”

Spouses and nearby children carry an enormous amount, and nobody relieves them until something breaks. A few hours a week back for yourself is not selfish. It is how this keeps working for years instead of months.

“Mom will not accept help from a stranger.”

That is the most common thing we hear, and it is exactly why our caregivers are seniors too. Someone who lived through the same decades, raised a family here, and understands not wanting to be fussed over is a much easier yes.

“I do not want to take over their life.”

You should not have to. We do the parts you want help with and leave the rest alone. You can keep doing the Sunday visits and the doctor’s appointments yourself, and let us handle Tuesday.

What you can expect from us

  • You will know who is in the house

You meet them first, before any visit is scheduled. If the match is not right, we change it. No hard feelings.

  • You will hear about problems early

A missed refill, a fall, a bad week — we call you. You should not have to discover it on your next visit.

  • You can change the plan any time

More hours, fewer hours, a different day. Life changes and so does the schedule. Just tell us.

  • Your parent keeps their dignity

We work alongside them, not around them. Nobody is talked over, and nothing is done that makes them feel small.

You have been carrying this alone long enough

One phone call is all it takes to find out what help could look like for your family. There is no charge and no obligation.
